Annual Updates

Season Review

Updated for the 24/25 season
The 2024/25 season marked a major shift in my career as I transitioned to a more speed-focused program. While the adjustment was challenging at first, it’s proved to align well with my strengths and has unlocked a new level in my performance.

Coming off an injury the previous year, I started the season with high FIS points—over 100 in Super-G and 55 in Downhill. Through consistent work and learning, I was able to bring those down significantly to 27 in Super-G and 36 in Downhill. This progress has placed me inside the Top 120 in the world for Super-G and Top 160 in Downhill—a huge personal milestone.

I’ll be continuing with the same program next season, training with Apex 2100, and I’m looking forward to building on this year’s momentum and taking more steps in the right direction.

Ski Training

Updated for the 23/24 season
Having joined Apex 2100 PG program for the 23/24 season, they have a very intense summer skiing program where the aim is to stay in the Northern hemisphere by utilising glaciers in Norway and Switzerland and also using indoor training facilities in Lithuania and Belgium. This summer will be the most amount of days I have had on snow so far in my skiing career thanks to Apex 2100 and the absence of injuries which I have had issues with in prior summer seasons. This increase in skiing volume should allow me to achieve the consistency that I look for every season earlier on than in the years prior.

Moving into the pre-season after a post-summer break we are heading up to Scandinavia in Sweden and Finland for final preparation for the season and potentially our first few races.

During the season we will be based out of Pozza di Fassa in the Italian dolomite mountains in Italy. From here we will go off on various race trips as well as racing in Pozza di Fassa as well as it is home to many national championship races and high-level FIS races.

Off snow training

Updated for the 23/24 season
As mentioned previously having joined Apex 2100 PG program there is a very structured and periodised training program that is executed mainly in Tignes where the apex 2100 facilities and building is and where we will spend our summer when not in the indoor training centres and glaciers.

As I am passionate about cycling and weightlifting, I have decided to also do some of my own competitions as a hobby. In June I competed in a Aqua-bike race that consisted of a 750m swim and a 20km bike ride where I managed to win the race while enjoying and pursuing my hobby. In August I will also be competing in a Weightlifting competition which is a sport I picked up recently as the movements have a huge carryover and therefore benefit my ski racing so it will be interesting to see how that goes.
Dry-land Training
During the 21/22 season I struggled with my centre of mass being too high therefore off-putting my balance consistently throughout the season impacting my performance and consistency.

In order to remove these issues I have changed my training regime and incorporated cycling and Crossfitt sessions into my dry-land training. The goal for the summer is to decrease upper body mass while maintaining a similar weight and similar lower body strength, this will enable me to have a lower centre of mass and be more stable going into the 22/23 season.

I will also be including other activities that will benefit my ski-racing career such as roller blading (to improve balance and stability), increase in agility and plyometrics training (to improve co-ordination and type 2/2x muscle fibres)
